Glimpses Of Fall

Natural Salmon Ladder
Description:Ever since the pulp and paper companies stopped floating logs down the Jacques-Cartier River , a group of dedicated people have been trying to re-introduce Atlantic salmon to this majestic river. They have had some good years and some bad years but the salmon are still coming back each year after the initial years of "seeding" salmon in the upper reaches of the river.
This is just one of the natural ladders the salmon would use along this river. It is right beside a much larger fall of rushing water so the salmon would use this easier route. Sorry I wasn't able to catch any of them leaping upstream:-)
